Above the showroom. Beyond expectations.

Some bars play music. This one is built around it. Perched on the mezzanine and overlooking the riverside, Plonkers Listening Bar is a space for people who know love to enjoy a good drink, in good company, with great vinyl as a backdrop, in one of London's most unique spaces.

The room sits apart from the Parlour bar, above one of the Duke of London classic car showrooms and has a sound system that makes the rest of the world feel considerably less interesting.

There is also sometimes a car. We're not going to over-explain that.

The Space

Separate from the Parlour, and very different in character, with a vantage point that makes the room feel both removed from and connected to everything happening beneath it.

The space accommodates intimate gatherings and private hire with equal ease, whether that's a late evening with friends, a curated listening session, a wine tasting, or a corporate event that people will actually remember... There is also sometimes a car. Because why not?

The Sound

The room is powered by a bespoke system by Friendly Pressure; the London-based loudspeaker design studio founded by Shivas Howard-Brown.

Working from his East London studio, Howard-Brown hand-builds modular horn loudspeakers, each system made entirely to order and tuned to the room it lives in. Also boasting an RDM 40 Rotary Mixer from Varia Instruments, the result at Plonkers is a system that does not ask for your attention, it simply has it.
